History Stories for teachers and students

Are you a teacher who wants to make social studies a fascinating topic for your students?

Do you struggle to find engaging history stories that go beyond the textbook?

I would LOVE for you to join my Captivating History Stories Series!

I don’t need to hear any more… Sign me up!

How does it work? Every Wednesday morning, a new email will show up in your inbox.

Each topic is different but discusses an aspect of early American history.

Here are a few of the emails I’ve sent out so far:

  • Yellow Fever Outbreaks in Colonial America
  • Benjamin Franklin’s Loyalist Son
  • 18th Century Hygiene
  • Jamestown’s Mail-Order Brides
  • Body Snatching in 18th Century Colonial America
  • And more!!!

If you’re worried that you’ve already missed a lot of interesting emails since the series started, don’t worry about it. You’ll start the series at the beginning, so you’ll eventually receive every single email. Happy dance!

Best of all… It’s completely free. I am honored to be able to share what I’ve learned about history with my amazing teacher friends. 🙂

Visit this page to officially sign up for the free weekly series.

  • Thank you so much, Jenifer!! I so appreciate your taking time to share your experiences, wisdom and very practical resources/ideas with the rest of us. I have taught for years in elementary (everything except for 5th grade!), homeschooled my kiddos, taught Special Ed, even middle school ESL…
and yet I have never felt so discombobulated about beginning a new chapter & a new school year! I have read many of your articles, and particularly loved the notes from veteran teachers. The great effort you are putting into sharing what you have learned reminds the rest of us that we are not expected to have it all together, all of the time. We can always LEARN SOMETHING NEW!! Personally, I love that we can learn from one another & help each other along [as opposed to expectations being placed on us {often by ourselves!} to be that rockstar teacher who does everything perfectly.
    Anyways, THANK YOU!
