I am not a withitness teacher. I have been teaching since 1996, but I still feel although I have improved I do not have what it takes to be that teacher with eyes behind your head. It has happened to me that my principal or other adult has come in to my room and I did not even notice them standing there.

Do you have any other tips to help…
This is my second year teaching fifth grade. the last 10 years I was teaching 2nd grade.
I do want to do small group with workstations but I find I immerse myself in my group and the other 25 independent workers end up off task, while I work with the five at my table.

My fifth grade counter part does seem to have eyes on the back of her head… she is like 15 years younger than me but her classroom management is very very good.
