]]> Plymouth (Plimoth) was a fascinating settlement. Pilgrims, originally known as Separatists, were treated poorly in England because they refused to follow the teachings of the Church of England. After years of struggle, they finally set sail on the Mayflower with the goal of creating a farming village in the New World.

The Wampanoag People, who had lived in the area for thousands of years, entered into a peace agreement with the Pilgrims. This peace agreement lasted for decades.
